Pancakes of all shapes & sizes
Pancake day is right around the corner and this year, don’t confirm your flipping to just the kitchen. There are pancake flipping races & contests happening all around the city for those with a competitive streak like this one over by Borough Market put on by Better Bankside. BBQ in the city
Once the BBQ bug hits you, there’s no turning back. And lucky for us City-dwellers, soon the magic that is Pitt Cue Co will be arriving. Opening sometime in February in Devonshire Square, expect scrumptious pulled pork and weekly meaty specials. They’ll also be taking reservations!
London’s newest wave of location-based foodie apps are saving us all from a bad case of #FOMO. Never again will you have to lead your group around blindly looking for something decent to eat when all the best spots are right at your fingertips. Our personal favourites are Uncover for last minute tables at some amazing restaurants and Dojo for perfectly curated collections and an easy to use interface
Love Potions Mixology
We’re giving budding romantics the chance to flaunt their skills behind the bar and create custom love potions for their sweethearts by running exclusive mixology sessions throughout February. perfect for any skill level, an experienced bartender will be on hand to teach you how to concoct the perfect seductive sip with aphrodisiac delights such as honey, chilli, chocolate and strawberries. Each session is £20 per person and available through pre-booking only at Drake & Morgan at King’s Cross, The Parlour or The Refinery at Bankside.
London’s answer to The Fringe Festival, it’s on from now until the 6th of March. All the vaults & train arches under Waterloo Station are being taken over for theatre, comedy, gigs and live entertainment of all shapes & sizes. The eating & drinking is all provided by an ironic British-themed country pub so you’ll be enjoying super traditional food while watching some very non-traditional theatre.
Tell someone you love them on Valentine’s Day
It’s not like you can forget, not with all the shop windows shouting about the 14th but call your mum, stroke your cat and give your best friend a squeeze next Sunday. Release a paper lanterns at Chiswick House
Celebrate the Chinese New Year in a beautiful setting. The festival is a spectacular artistic installation of beautifully sculpted lanterns taking various forms from animals and birds to buildings and abstract lantern designs of all shapes and sizes.
