Brunching big

Brunch is one of the trends, obsessions even, that has just not gone away. And we, for one, are not surprised, and we’re certainly not complaining!

A luxurious weekend lie in followed a cup of coffee, even a smoothie (it’s the weekend, you’re allowed to push the boat out), and that’s just the start…. Classic eggs benedict with a bellini for the traditional souls; yoghurt and maybe a salad with a zero proof for the health lovers or buttermilk chicken and waffle and pornstar martinis until the cows come home for those who take brunch really seriously.

Whichever one of those you are, or aren’t, do it your way. That’s the beauty of brunch. We all work very hard, and frankly need to treat ourselves on the weekend. And what better way to do that than with one of the best brunches in London, Edinburgh and Manchester.

The best thing about weekend brunch, in our humble opinion, is that it suits all occasions.  Come for a family day out and have your favourite breakfast or lunch dishes, or even a Sunday roast. We’ve even got special kids menus to keep the little Drake & Morganers happy! On the other end of the spectrum, brunch is the perfect excuse for morning bubbly, or, opt for late brunch at 3pm and start those Saturday night drinks.

With bottomless brunch at The Refinery Regent’s Place near Euston and The Refinery Spinningfields in Manchester, those of you looking for a boozy brunch need look no further. Enjoy unlimited bloody marys or bellinis with your brunch for just £15 extra. Alternatively, enjoy bottomless brunch martinis or bottomless royal romance cocktails at The Drift in Liverpool Street.

For those of you who like going all in (and this is perfect for those birthday brunches and large groups), The Sipping Room in West India Quay, near Canary Wharf, has a fabulous set menus for you to choose from. For £30 you can enjoy a 2-course brunch menu with free flowing bellinis, brunch martinis or classic bloody Marys. Alternatively, go booze free for £20.

For the Instagrammers among you, Garden Brunch at The Allegory in Shoreditch has got to be the choice for you. Served on a picnic bench with bloody Marys from watering cans, it’s seriously snap worthy. Tuck into a healthy little snack to start, followed by eggs and finally a selection of mini waffles. Free flowing tipples include pornstar spritzes, bottles of beer and rose prosecco. All for £40pp – see you there 😉

All there is left to do now…? Book your table and get your brunch on.
