Mojitos, Mindful Eating and General May Madness

By Drake & Morgan
On 4th May 2017

We’re already loving the surfeit of activity going on in May and we’re only on day 4, but don’t worry – there’s so much to come for you to get in that diary for the month.

All the cheese you can dream of at the Urban Cheese Festival

No you’re not dreaming, Camden will be playing host to a brand new cheese festival brought to you by the London Cheese Project! Seriously though, all day on 6th – 7th May you can talk to top cheese makers, taste dishes from some of London’s biggest street food traders and try out innovative cheese pairings all while listening to live music and drinking cocktails. The best bit? It’s free to enter, although some of the talks require a small payment and booking.

Incredible Indian food at Alchemy

For a whole 10 days this month, explore the creativity and culture borne from the UK and India’s shared history. Of course the food is our biggest excitement, but there’s everything from music to fashion, literature and film in the form of talks, shows, tastings, installations and much more.Running from the 19th – 29th May at the Southbank Centre it will be open every day from 10am – 11pm. See all the details on the events right  here, and book for the ticketed events here.

Your favourite summer drinks (even if the sun’s hiding)

We know the sun hasn’t properly come out yet (actually it’s hardly come out at all) but that doesn’t mean we’re going to wait any longer for that pale rosé or mojito. Speaking of summery cocktails, we’ve got some uber cool tipples coming to several of our bars in a couple of weeks time…keep your eyes peeled for next week’s blog which will give you the low down.

Prosecco galore at Prosecco Springs

Considering the rising obsession with Prosecco over the last few years, it’s amazing there hasn’t been a Prosecco festival yet – particularly given how many there are every other sort of beverage. Well, London’s first Prosecco festival has arrived; Prosecco Springs will take place in Oval Space near Cambridge Heath over 4 days (11th – 14th May) featuring Italian food, live music and masses of Prosecco over a series of master classes and talks. Wer’e sold!

Our brand new bar, The Bothy

We’ve been excited about the arrival of The Bothy for a long time, so now opening time has arrived and we’re over the moon! We’re giving our friends & family a sneak preview tonight before we open officially on Monday morning ready to cover all your food & drink needs and more in West India Quay. Come and see us and make the most of our fabulous opening offers while you’re here – with 50% off food next week and 25% off drinks the following week you’re in for a treat. Find out all the details, t&cs and how to book right here.

 Cocktails and Coding

Yes, you heard us correctly! On 10th and 16th May the Sanderson London will be holding cocktail and coding workshops where guests will have the world of coding demystified while sipping on gorgeous cocktails made by Sanderson’s mixologists. Tickets are £35 and include 2 cocktails – it’s the weirdest excuse to drink cocktails we’ve heard yet so we’re in!

Change your life at Balance Festival

Taking place between 12th – 14th May at the Old Truman Brewery (where else) this celebration of general health and wellbeing focuses particularly on healthy food and fitness and will feature everything from live cooking demos and fitness classes to inspirational talks and workshops. You’ll find everyone influential in the genre from Deliciously Ella to Mindful Chef along with super brands such as we are tea and raw press and fitness gurus including Zanna Van Dijk. Find out all the deets and get tickets to Balance here.
