At Jimmy’s BBQ Club

Now this is going to be a barbecue like no other and a real good’un for the diary. On the 18th May Jimmy’s BBQ Club is reopening in a secret garden and producing an absolute BBQ feat in the form of a 7-course tasting menu. Even better than that the first half is cooked and charred in front of you while the second part is a DIY affair! Dishes include Coca-Cola and soy sauce-marinaded beef tail fillets and hay smoked goats curd salad. Wine and cocktails are on offer and you can even BYOB. Running until 26 August this is a must-do so book your space now!

D&M Treats

Because it’s the summer here are a couple delights to get you in the mood, keep an eye out on our website for the more! To feel quintessentially British opt for a glass of sparkling rosé and a bowl of strawberries, cream & meringue. Or to get you through the early-week blues, go for a bottle of Prosecco Spumante Doc and a portion of polenta crisps with avocado dip. Keep an eye on our what’s on page for the deets on the wheres, whys and hows.

RAW Artisan Wine Fair

We already know that wine does have some health benefits (well we like to tell ourselves it does anyway), but the RAW Artisan Wine Fair is as healthy as it’s going to get! On Sunday 15th and Monday 16th May over 160 wine producers will be showcasing their organic and biodynamic wines at the Old Truman Brewery. With talks by experts, tastings and plenty of artisan food to try it’s an event for wine amateurs and connoisseurs alike so book your ticket now.

See

Romeo & Juliet at the Garrick Theatre

Continuing his success as a director, Kenneth Branagh is bringing everyone’s favourite tragic love story to the stage on May 12th. The star-studded cast alone is enough to want to go, let alone the fact that it’s #Shakespeare400 and arguably the best Shakespeare actor around directing it! ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Richard Madden and ‘War and Peace’s’ Lily James lead the way having starred together in ‘Cinderella’ – also directed by Branagh. As if that wasn’t enough, another Shakespeare fiend, Derek Jacobi will be playing Mercutio – real twist on the character’s usual age! In short, none of us are going to want to miss it.  It runs until August 13th and you can get your tickets right here.

Meet the Maker

As part of La Petite Provence at The Folly, we thought it might be quite fun for guests to be able to find out a bit more about the wine their drinking from those who know best. So, we’ll be holding three ‘Meet the Maker’ sessions where the producers of some of our delicious Rose will tell you all about the wine and do a guided tasting. Our first session will be on the 10th May at 6pm with Chateau Mont-Redon. The second, Chateau Unang, is on the 22nd June, and we’ll finish on the 5th of July with Domaine Montrose. Find out a bit about all the sessions here.
