Spring Surprises

By Drake & Morgan
On 4th April 2016

No one loves the warmer months more than we do, and to keep in tune with the changing seasons, the D&M team have been hard at work giving all our bars & restaurants a summer makeover.

Our new menus are launching alongside new designs, inspiration, and a whole host of fabulous activities. We’ve given you an overview of our wonderful new pop-up La Petite Provence, Books for Brunch and a little taster of some of the flavours to expect on the menu but here are a few more excitements to come.

The Menu

Liquid Libations

You’ll find an abundant variety of brews to choose from, from inspiring cocktails to unique craft beers. Choose your cocktail from three distinct categories: ‘Timeless’ features classics that will never get old, ‘Heritage’ offers signature Drake & Morgan choices, whilst ‘Inspired’ embraces cocktails with an extra flare of creativity and adventure.

At King’s Cross we’re introducing Long Island’s Bluepoint on tap, and in all of our bars & restaurants you’ll find new beers and ciders from Battersea IPA to Schiehallion Craft Lager.

We haven’t held back when it comes to freshening things up in the world of wine! If its rosé you love, then we’ve got the perfect thing for you. Instead of having to choose one variety, head to La Petite Provence in The Folly and try our rosé flight, featuring four 75ml glasses of different delicious rosé. If you’re a lover of fine wines, then thanks to the introduction of Coravin’s preservation system in The Anthologist we will now be able to offer some of the best wines by the glass, without any wastage. If it’s the ‘all out’ wine experience you want then book your sensory tasting experience in La Petite Provence.

Mini Menus

We’ve already given out a few tasters of what’s to come in the food department, but we wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise completely! So, for the finer details you’ll have to wait and see for yourselves! One key addition, however, is kids will now have their very own menu! For £7.95 they can have a main course, a dessert and a soft drink.

Blossoming Partnerships

There’s nothing better than forging friendships we’re very excited to be teaming up with the following brands.

Cracking Cordial

In those summer months, a long, refreshing drink is all we really want, and there’s only so many coca cola’s one can drink…we need a bit of variety in our life. This is where The Urban Cordial Company comes in. There are so many good things to say about these guys it’s difficult to know where to begin. 1. They make wonderfully original cordials that make Elderflower seem positively boring. 2. They buy odd-looking fruit from farms around London that supermarkets won’t sell, and thereby reduce food waste. 3. They only use fruit in season. In short, these are a must-try on your next trip! The 3 flavours that will be appearing on our menus are Blackberry & Lavender, Strawberry & Sage and Pear & Ginger.

Raving about Rothschild

To take our summer offering that little bit further, we can’t wait to start serving wines supplied by the Rothschild family. Chateau Lafite Rothschild is renowned for some of the best Bordeaux wines available. Producing exceptional new world wines from the likes of Chile and South Africa, they’re a must-try. We will be serving one rosé: Los Vascos Rosé (2015), and two reds: Classique (2013), and Los Vascos Grande Reserve (2012).

Age of Reason

It’s clear from previous blog posts that sustainability is close to our heart, and we’ve even mentioned it above, maybe we’re getting a bit repetitive… But sustainability is something that should be important to everyone, and one uber cool brand that has it at its core is Age of Reason. A fabulous fashion label that use beautiful hand-drawn designs to create luxury printed accessories. We’re very excited to be teaming up with them to produce a range of three limited edition oyster card holders for April. You’ll find them in all our bars & restaurants.

There are plenty of other plans in the pipeline and lots more little touches including the odd warm weather treat… So keep your eyes peeled and you never know what you might discover!
