Stop & smell the rosé! This summer at Drake & Morgan, we’re all about gorgeous rosé wines, especially at our beautiful pop-up wine terrace Drake & Morgan at Cabot Square where you can sip on something delicious whilst enjoying the sun.

If you’re not a huge wine buff & want to know the basics when it comes to this refreshing pink drink then you’ve come to the right place! Here’s our beginner’s guide to rosé wine showcasing the different types, basic tasting notes & food pairings. There are four main types of rosé:

Light & Mineral

Notes = Mint, Grapefruit & Strawberry
Paired best with = Salads, Goats Cheese & Burgers

 

Light, Medium & Floral

Notes = Cherry, Rose Petals & Herbs

Paired best with = Grilled Meats, Mediterranean Lamb, Pork & Pesto

Medium Full & Round

Notes = Raspberry, Hibiscus & White Pepper
Paired best with = Summer Salads & Grilled Veggies

 

Full, Rich & Savory

Notes = Dark Berry Jam, Bell Peppers.
Paired best with BBQ sauce, Pizza & Steak
