Some cocktails are timeless, some are destined to surprise you. The Tomatini falls into the latter – unexpected, bold, & refreshing. Inspired by a recent trip to Dubai, it’s a drink that blurs the line between cocktail & culinary creation, bringing savoury sophistication to your glass.
So, what exactly is a Tomatini? Imagine the elegance of Grey Goose vodka meeting the brightness of fresh tomatoes, the tang of white balsamic vinegar, & just a hint of salt & pepper. Simple, striking, & unlike anything else you’ve tried.
How to Make the Tomatini at Home
You don’t need to be a mixologist to give it a go. All you’ll need is:
50ml Grey Goose vodka
2–3 ripe cherry tomatoes
10ml white balsamic vinegar
A pinch of salt & pepper
Ice
Method:
Muddle the tomatoes with the vinegar, salt, & pepper in a shaker until juicy & fragrant.
Add the vodka & plenty of ice, then shake until well chilled.
Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a cherry tomato or a twist of cracked black pepper on top.
The result? A cocktail that’s clean, savoury, & wonderfully refreshing – perfect for when you want something a little different from the usual.
But here’s the thing, as much fun as it is to experiment at home, sometimes it’s best to leave it to the professionals. Why not let our bartenders at D&M shake up a perfectly balanced Tomatini for you? After all, cocktails always taste better when someone else makes them.
