FOLEYS-YARD-072-Edit-1

At Foley’s

After the huge success of its 6 week pop-up restaurant (Foley’s Tasting Kitchen) in Shepherd’s Bush, the former sous chef at The Palomar is opening a permanent restaurant in Fitzrovia. With the soft launch kicking off last Friday, Foley’s will be in full swing from 1st July. The pick of the menu has surely got to be the ‘Hoof & Rock Pool’ – namely sticky beef cheek with daikon, cucumber, avocado & kaffir lime puree, poached prawns & crispy shallots: we don’t know about you but that’s one of the most fabulous concoctions of ingredients we’ve ever seen all in one dish! There’s some pretty awesome cocktails too.

Wimbledon-Themed Puddings

We all love an excuse to get patriotic, and Wimbledon is the ultimate British affair: strawberries & cream and Pimms galore. This year, however, we’re taking the celebrations the extra mile. Throughout the duration of Wimbledon at The Refinery Bankside and The Refinery at Regent’s Place you can enjoy our special dessert, the ‘Queen of The Court’. This show stopping pudding comprises of a white chocolate tennis ball which opens up to reveal an indulgent centre of chocolate brownie, honeycomb, strawberry & mint when hot chocolate sauce is poured over it – pretty awesome if we say so ourselves. Available only during the tournament, this can be yours for £8.95.

And so to celebrate this we will be joining up with Regal Rogue to bring you some extra summer excitement…watch this space as details will follow shortly. To tie in with this, we will also be holding a complimentary Meet the Maker masterclass with Regal Rogue on the 12th July at 6.30pm, to reserve your spot email info@drakeandmorgan-kingscross.co.uk. 3 Brit Spritzes for the price of 2

Once again our patriotic side is coming out, and there’s no regrets about that around here! We’re collaborating with the most British drinks brand around – Kamm & Sons – to bring you an offer you couldn’t possibly turn down. Throughout July and August from 6pm till close when you buy 2 Brit Spritzes we’ll throw in a third for free.

Wimbledon in Style

There are a plethora of ways of spicing up your Wimbledon experience. We’ll be showing the games sans sound in most of our bars, but if you want the real deal head to The Parlour, or either of The Refineries. Head to Canary Wharf and gather around the gigantic screen that is being put up in Canada Square Park as we speak. Grab a drink from The Parlour’s outdoor Peroni Bar and – weather permitting – settle down on the grass, or on our terrace. A similar affair happens in Regent’s Place, watch from the Refinery’s alfresco terrace with a Brit Spritz and a strawberry & mint Pavlova. Finally, there’s always our fabulous summer Bacardi pop up at The Refinery Bankside where you can watch among the palm trees while you gorge on our Queen of the Court. If you fancy something a bit lighter, why not opt for our Bubbles & Berries offer; you can have a glass of Barton & Guestier sparkling rose and a bowl of strawberries, cream & meringue for £9.95.

The BFG Dream Jar Trail

Don’t miss out on one of the coolest celebrations of a celebrity we’ve ever seen. And this ain’t no ordinary celebrity; Roald Dahl has played a huge part in all our lifetimes. Well, to celebrate his 100th birthday (as well as the release the BFG movie), the childhood dreams and aspirations of celebrities and artists such as Steven Spielberg and Quentin Blake will be placed in six foot jars around some of the UK’s most iconic spots. The Dream Jar Trail runs from 9th July to 31st August following which the jars will be auctioned in aid of Save the Children and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.

BURGER

4th July

We may be Brits but we love celebrating American Independence Day as much as anyone, which is clear from the sheer volume of different events on in London to celebrate the 4th July. From cake and a glass of bubbly in Benjamin Franklin’s former home in Charing Cross to the Grand Ole Stokey Independence Dayer with everything from 12 hours of live music to pony rides…no jokes – there’s definitely something for everyone! If you don’t fancy an all-out celebration just come and have a burger, fries and a side of mac n cheese in any of our bars & restaurants 😉
