Sip into Summer

Man have we got some drinks in store for you to spice up your summer. From super trendy London Essence to our latest range of seasonal tipples and our thing of the moment Frosé, where do we even begin? Surely it’s got to be with our cocktail served in trug tub with a rubber duck as garnish…

Diageo Cocktails

In our latest collaboration with Diageo, we have 4 fabulous cocktails that will be available until the end of August.:

For the fabulously refreshing: The Ginger Parrot Spritz is the thirst-quenching answer. Featuring Ketel One vodka, vermouth and carrot & ginger shrub – topped with soda water. £8.95

For a trip down memory lane: Fruit Salad & Black Jacks creates a blast in the form of eponymous cocktails (yes you get two) that taste like your childhood favourite sweets. £10.95

For the uber trendy: Dutch Summers fits the current obsession with all things Nordic perfectly. Comprising Ketel One vodka, Aperol, grapefruit juice, pineapple syrup & egg white, this is a sweet yet sour delight for the taste buds. £9.95

For the cute, the weird & the wonderful all at once: Duck & Cover would ideally be best enjoyed whilst in a bathtub oneself, but we’ll take the great outdoors. Made using Tanqueray No. Ten, grapefruit juice and honey syrup with Pineapple foam and of course the rubber duck, it’s the definition of a quacking Instagram. £9.95

Enjoy these delights at The Refinery Bankside, The Parlour, The Anthologist, The Drift, The Refinery Regent’s Place and Drake & Morgan at King’s Cross. If you happen to be venturing out of London you’ll also find them at our Northern abodes The Refinery St Andrew Square and The Refinery Spinningfields.

London Essence Alfresco Menu

Described as ‘long refreshing coolers’ this carefully curated combinations of drinks do just that.

Opt for a mixture of traditional and modern classic flavours such as the Gin y Tonica (Gin Mare, grapefruit, rosemary and basil, £10.95) and the Highland Breeze (Johnnie Walker with aromatic ginger and fennel, £10.95) – these can be found in the ‘Time Honoured’ section.

In the ‘New Wave’ half, you’ll find more adventurous combinations and less conventional spirits such as the Pisco-based The Guv’nor (£9.95) and the Ocho tequila based Pieces of Eight (£10.95).

Our pick of the bunch, however, has got to be the Brave New Dawn (£11.95) which features Quiquiriqui mezcal, sweetened with cherry liqueur, spiced with ginger ale and garnished with seasonal summer fruits.

You can enjoy these at The Otherist, The Pagination, The Refinery CityPoint, The Refinery New Street Square and The Happenstance as well as the C&B Bars (Devonshire Terrace, Fleet Place, Exchange Square & Lime Street).

Did someone say Frosé?

So we frankly can’t believe this hasn’t been a phenomenon sooner but it seems that freezing wine in the warmer months has finally come to foreground of the drinks trends.

We’re delighted that you can try this gorgeous slush puppy-esque, alcoholic frozen drink for yourself at The Bothy, The Refinery Spinningfields and soon The Parlour for £7.50.

While you’re at it, why not try the newest trend of V&T as opposed to G&T – by that we mean Vermouth and tonic – and specifically Belsazar Vermouth and tonic for £8.50.

Sporting serve

Throughout Queens and Wimbledon (19th June to 17th July) across all our bars & restaurants we’ll be serving a quintessentially British tipple that just sings Wimbledon.

Aptly named Strawberries & Crème it tastes like just that. Made using Tanqueray, crème de fraise, lemon juice, egg white and fresh strawberries it’s the perfect aperitif to get you in the mood for London’s world-famous tennis championships.

Peroni pop-up bars

Oh and while we’re on the subject of summer drinks, we’ll be serving Peroni Ambra at all our pop up alfresco bars (The Refinery Bankside, The Parlour, The Refinery New Street Square, Devonshire Terrace, Exchange Square & Fleet Place)

How’s that for a serious selection of new and exciting drinks for you to try!
